Maximize leads' potential with a structured drip campaign. Write compelling email sequences, turning prospects into customers efficiently.

Maximize your sales potential with a comprehensive guide to transitioning from cold emails to closing deals using an effective drip campaign strategy.

Let’s start from the beginning. What is a drip campaign? A drip campaign is an automated email campaign, is a type of marketing strategy that involves sending a series of pre-written automated messages to potential customers or clients over a specific period of time.

They are used for multiple purposes such as engage, nurture leads or even to try to convert them into paying customers.

Actually, this is the topic I’d like to discuss today: how to set up a drip campaign and how to write an email sequence that can help you go from a cold email to close a deal.

Sounds good? Let’s see how it works…

How to set up a Drip Campaign

InboxPro’s follow-up sequences (and other tools in the market) allow you to set this kind of campaigns, that is a series of automated, pre-written messages that are sent to your leads over a certain period of time.

If you want to check how to do it you just have to read this post, but I will summarize it for you very quickly.

You just need to follow these steps:

  • Write a sequence of 3 or more emails (more on that later)
  • Choose what will trigger the sequence: is it when the recipient fails to respond, fails to open the email or under which circumstances?
  • Choose how many days should elapse before next email is sent: it could be one day, one month, etc.
  • And last but not least, set what is the ideal time to send the email: at 7.00 in the morning, at 4.00 in the afternoon, etc.

Once you’ve done that, let’s move on to the writing process…

How to write an effective email sequence to convert leads into customers

Many people think that you need to create a complex email sequence, with multiple steps, triggers, variables, etc.

Sometimes is true, especially when you are dealing with multiple email subscriptions and you want your leads to go from a free plan to a paid plan. But, for a marketer who are prospecting and sending cold emails is much more easy.

We, at InboxPro, have tried a lot (I mean, a lot) email sequences and one of the best is this simple yet powerful one:

Day 1: introduce yourself and explain what you do in one paragraph. Be ultra concise and don’t attach files, especially if you are writing to a C-Suite.

Example:

Hi [Name],

My name is [Your Name] and I work for [Your Company]. We specialize in [Your Industry/Service] and help businesses like yours achieve [Your Value Proposition] through our [Your Product/Service].

I would love to chat with you more about how we can help your business grow.

Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Best,

[Your Name]

Day 3: send a follow-up email if you don’t get a reply and attach a PDF with more detailed info on what you do. Remark the specific slides that contain the information they should see.

Example:

Hi [Name],

I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to follow up on my previous email to see if you had a chance to review the information I sent over. If you’re interested in learning more, I would be happy to schedule a call at your convenience.

In order to make scheduling easier, I’ve included a link to my real-time availability calendar below:

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Day 5: send another email to schedule a meeting. You can send a link to your InboxPro’s real-time availability calendar to automate the process.
Example:

Hi [Name],

I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to follow up on my previous email to see if you had a chance to review the information I sent over. If you’re interested in learning more, I would be happy to schedule a call at your convenience.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Best,

Day 30: if they never replied, send one last email as a reminder and try to schedule a meeting again.

Example:

Hi [Name],

I wanted to reach out one final time to see if you had a chance to review our services. If you’re still interested, I would be happy to schedule a call to discuss further.

Please let me know if you’re available in the next week or so, and we can find a time that works for you.

Thank you for considering [Your Company] as a potential partner.

Best,

[Your Name]
